Why invisible grills suit Pune
Monsoon. Mild-steel grills on Pune homes rust and peel after a few monsoons and need repainting. SS 316 cables and aluminium tracks do not.
Views. Flats in Baner, Balewadi and Bavdhan look towards the hills; towers in Kharadi and Wakad look over the city. Thin cables keep those views.
Facade rules. Many housing societies and townships discourage grills that protrude from the building. Invisible grills sit within the opening and are barely visible.
Light. Thin cables let much more daylight into rooms than flat steel bars.
Where we fit them
- French windows and full-height glass in towers
- Sliding windows in bedrooms and living rooms
- Staircase openings and tall windows in row houses and villas
- Terraces with low parapets

How we install
- Measure each opening precisely; tracks are cut to size.

- Fix tracks top and bottom with stainless anchors.
- Thread the cables at the agreed spacing.
- Tension and lock each cable evenly.
- Check every cable by hand.
Replacing old steel grills
In older Pune societies in Kothrud, Karve Nagar and Aundh, many flats still have mild-steel window grills that have rusted over the years. Removing them (a separate job) and fitting invisible grills in their place brightens rooms noticeably and ends the cycle of repainting.
Before the visit
List the windows you want covered and the ages of any children. Photos of each opening sent on WhatsApp help us plan.
Care
Wipe the cables with a damp cloth now and then and press them gently every few months. If one feels looser than the rest, we can re-tension it.

Grills in row houses and villas
Row houses and villas in Pune’s suburbs often have tall staircase windows, double-height living rooms and terrace openings. Invisible grills protect these without the heavy look of steel, and they let light flood into the stairwell. For terraces, a grill above a low parapet makes the roof safe for children while keeping the view of the hills.
Society approval
In many societies, residents inform the committee before fitting window grills. A photo of an invisible grill from a similar building and a note of the track colour usually make approval straightforward.
