Why invisible grills suit Chennai
Salt air. Chennai lies on the Bay of Bengal, and salt carried by the sea breeze reaches far inland. Mild-steel grills rust within a few years, and the rust runs down walls. SS 316 stainless-steel cables and aluminium tracks resist this corrosion.
Heat. Heavy iron grills absorb heat in the strong sun and make the room behind them feel boxed in. Thin cables let more breeze through and do not trap heat.
High-rise living. Many newer flats on OMR, GST Road and in the western suburbs have wide windows and balconies with views. Invisible grills protect them without spoiling the outlook.
Building rules. Associations in new complexes often restrict what can be fitted on the facade. Invisible grills are usually accepted because they are barely visible.

How we install
We measure each opening, cut aluminium tracks to size and fix them with stainless anchors at top and bottom. Cables are threaded at the agreed spacing, each one tensioned and locked. We check every cable by hand before we finish and show you how the system works.
Grills for Chennai’s older buildings
In older apartment blocks across central Chennai, parapets and window frames are not always straight. We measure each side and adjust the track fixing so the cables still run straight and evenly tensioned. Where an old iron grill has rusted, the wall around it may need repair before the new tracks go in.
Care in the Chennai climate
Wipe the cables with a damp cloth when they collect dust or salt residue, especially in homes close to the beach. Check the tension a few times a year by pressing gently on the cables; if one feels looser than the rest, call us to tighten it.
