Why a ceiling rack helps on the coast
On a balcony that catches the sea breeze, clothes on a floor stand or railing can blow over or get damp from spray. Raised close to the slab, they are sheltered from the strongest gusts while air still moves around them. Stainless rods mean no rust marks on clothes, even in salty air.

Ropes on the coast
Rope ages faster in sun and salt. Check it every few months and replace it at the first sign of fraying; it’s a quick job.

Lower rods gently, tie off securely, spread heavy items and wipe the rods with fresh water occasionally.

Where ceiling racks work best
Most apartments in Visakhapatnam, from older blocks in the central areas to new towers in Madhurawada, have utility balconies with a concrete slab at a comfortable height, which is what a pulley rack needs. Independent houses usually have at least one upstairs balcony with a slab too.
Racks with a pigeon net
