Is this for you?
If children play on the roof, the parapet is below an adult’s waist, the staircase to the roof has an open side or part of the roof edge has no parapet at all, a safety net is worth fitting.
A typical job, start to finish
You list the edges. Walk round the roof and count every open edge, including the stairs. Send photos.
We look and agree. On site, we check each edge and the wall or slab it meets, and agree the height, twine thickness and mesh with you.
We fix and lace. Stainless eye bolts go in along the top, sides and base. A heavy rope or stainless wire border is tensioned, and the net is laced on with extra ties at the corners.
We test it. We press along the full length, checking for slack and gaps.
Which edge needs what?
A low parapet gets a net from its top to about head height. An open staircase gets a net from the steps up to a rail or wall. A bare roof edge gets a net from the slab up. The edge by the water tank is netted with the tank left reachable.
Houses built in stages
Many families in Tenali add a floor when they can. Until then, the roof has a bare edge. A net along it makes the roof usable now and comes down when the builders return.
In the humid months
Damp air rusts plain steel, so every anchor is stainless. The net is UV-stabilised for summer sun.
Looking after it
Keep heavy pots and stacked items off the net and look along it after each rainy season.
Questions we hear in Tenali
“Will it help my parents too?” Yes. Steep stairs and low parapets are a risk for older relatives, especially after dark. A net along the open stair side gives them something firm beside them.

A word about evenings
In Tenali, the roof gets busy after sunset, when it’s cooler. Children run around in poor light and adults are busy talking. That’s exactly when a low parapet is most dangerous, and when a net is most useful.
What to tell us when you call
How long the open edges are, roughly how high the parapet stands, whether the stairs are inside or outside the house, and whether a floor is planned later. If part of the roof is under a sheet, mention that too, because the sheet’s supports can sometimes be used as fixing points for the net.
