Living in Bommuru
Bommuru has a mix of family houses and newer buildings on the city’s southern side. Roofs and balconies are used daily, and the river air is humid.
Roof safety nets, pigeon nets and child safety nets are the most useful fittings here.
Family houses here usually have a flat roof, an open staircase and an upstairs balcony. Most families start with the roof edge and stairs, especially when there are small children, then add a balcony net to keep pigeons off the washing.
Homes close to the river are humid for much of the year. Every hook and anchor we use is stainless steel, and invisible grills use SS 316 cable, so nothing rusts or stains the walls.
If monkeys visit from nearby trees, keep food indoors and ask us about a heavier net for the roof or kitchen window.
