Why invisible grills suit Madurai homes
Heat. In summer, thick steel grills on west-facing windows become hot and radiate heat into the room. Thin cables hold very little heat.
Light. Older houses often have small windows already; heavy bars make rooms darker still. Cables block far less light.
Rust. Painted steel grills rust after a few monsoons. SS 316 and aluminium don’t.
Look. New houses in Anna Nagar, K.K. Nagar and the newer layouts often want a clean, modern facade.

Grills on terraces
For families who use the roof every evening, an invisible grill above the parapet is a long-lasting alternative to a net. It stays tight for years, needs almost no care and keeps the view over the neighbourhood rooftops.
Before we come
List the openings you want covered and the ages of any children. Photos help us plan.
Care
Wipe the cables when dusty and press them gently every few months. If one is looser than the rest, we can re-tension it.

Replacing old steel grills
Many older houses in Madurai still have the original steel window grills, often painted many times over and rusting at the joints. Take out the old grill, repair the wall, and cables in that opening leave the room brighter and a little cooler, with no more repainting.
Combining with nets
Pigeons can pass between the cables, so homes with a pigeon problem often add a transparent net behind the grill.
In the old city
In the older houses near the temple, windows are often small and set deep into thick walls. Tracks are fitted inside the opening, so the grill sits neatly within the wall without changing how the house looks from the street.
