Our service in Guntur
Guntur is a trading city, and its housing reflects that. The older centre, including Old Guntur and the numbered lines of Brodipet and Arundelpet, has houses and small apartment buildings packed close to busy market streets. Lakshmipuram, Pattabhipuram and Brindavan Gardens are established residential areas with larger houses and apartment buildings. Newer apartments and layouts have grown along the Amaravathi road, in Gorantla and around Koretipadu and Vidya Nagar, especially since the capital region began developing nearby.
In older areas, the common needs are pigeon nets for ventilators and balconies and safety nets for roofs and stairs. In newer apartments, it is balcony safety for children and pigeon nets for ducts and AC ledges.
What makes Guntur different
Fierce summer heat
From April to June, Guntur regularly sees temperatures in the forties. Roofs and west-facing balconies take the full force of the sun. Plain plastic netting turns brittle under that heat, sometimes within a single season. We use UV-stabilised HDPE and nylon nets, and for invisible grills, SS 316 cables that don’t absorb heat like steel bars.
Rains from both monsoons
Rain reaches Guntur with the southwest monsoon, then again late in the year when depressions and cyclones cross the Andhra coast. Downpours can be heavy. Stainless-steel hooks and anchors are our standard, because plain iron rusts and stains walls.
Markets and pigeons
The city’s busy markets and trading areas support large pigeon flocks. Birds spread into the surrounding streets, nesting on ventilators, sunshades and balconies, and in newer buildings on AC brackets and in ducts.
Flat roofs and evening terraces
Most Guntur houses have flat roofs used for drying clothes and chillies, storing water and sitting out after dark once the heat eases. Many parapets are low. A net above the parapet keeps the roof usable while closing the edge.
Growing towards the capital region
New apartment projects along the Amaravathi road and in nearby areas bring families into flats for the first time. New buildings attract pigeons within months, so netting early is far easier than cleaning up later.
