Growing Penamaluru
Penamaluru’s housing is a mix of older village homes, newer independent houses and apartment buildings on recently developed land. Construction and open plots bring birds and dust.
Balcony safety nets, terrace and staircase nets and pigeon nets are the most useful fittings.
Owners building now can plan grills and nets into the design rather than adding them afterwards.
Some homes here are being built in stages, with a ground floor finished now and upper floors added later. Nets and grills can be added to each floor as it is completed.
Open plots between new homes mean the wind on upper floors can be stronger than in the city centre, so balcony nets here get closer anchoring and a firmly tensioned border.
