Our service in Nellore
Nellore is still largely a city of independent houses. Two- and three-floor family homes with flat roofs line the streets of Balaji Nagar, Haranathapuram, Ramalingapuram and most other neighbourhoods. The older centre, around Stonehousepet, Santhapet and Fathekhanpet, has older houses and shops built close together. Newer apartment buildings have grown in Magunta Layout, Vedayapalem and along the main roads.
In houses, the common requests are roof and staircase safety nets, pigeon nets for ventilators and balconies, and drying space. In apartments, it is balcony safety for children and pigeon nets for AC ledges and ducts.
What makes Nellore different
Coastal humidity
Nellore is close enough to the sea for the air to be humid and slightly salty much of the year. Plain iron hooks rust within a season or two and stain walls. We use stainless-steel hooks and anchors for every net and SS 316 marine-grade cable for invisible grills.
Northeast monsoon and cyclones
Most of Nellore’s rain falls between October and December, when depressions and cyclones from the Bay of Bengal can bring days of heavy rain and strong wind. Nets are anchored closely and tensioned firmly, and we recommend a quick check of every fitting after a major storm.
Summer heat
Before the monsoon, summers are hot, with strong sun on roofs and west-facing balconies. UV-stabilised nets resist the damage that turns ordinary plastic brittle.
Roofs used every day
Flat roofs in Nellore are used for drying clothes, storing water and sitting out on warm evenings. Many parapets are low, so a net above the parapet is one of the most useful safety fittings in the city.
Pigeons in the old town
The older commercial streets and markets support large pigeon flocks, which nest on the ventilators, sunshades and balconies of homes all around.
